As you probably noticed, this site was down for the last 24-hours. The cause? unknown. The solution? Don’t bother calling tech support. So far it seems to be a configuration issue so their advice was to reinstall WordPress (since they don’t support 3rd party software). One area they suggested I focus was the .htaccess file. So I copied it to my desktop and deleted it from my server. SUCCESS (partially).
Next, I copied my theme to my desktop and deleted it from the server. This would force the install to revert to the default theme allowing me to access the “back-end” portion of the site. From there, I can at least get the site back up and running, even if it’s not the beautiful eye candy site you’ve all become so familiar with.
Next, I’ll start replacing files and looking for glitches in the code but it may take a while. But at least you can still read my old posts that the search engines said I had. Sorry for the down time and missed info you desperately needed yesterday.
Oh, and as far as the title goes, that’s the hold music I was listening to while tech support looked into my problems.
“The Good Ship Lollipop”
music by R. Whiting and words by S. ClareI’ve thrown away my toys
Even my drum and train.
I wanna make some noise
With real live aeroplanes. Some day I’m going to fly.
I’ll be a pilot too.
And when I do, how would you
Like to be my crew…On the good ship lollipop.
Its a sweet trip to a candy shop
Where bon-bons play
On the sunny beach of Peppermint Bay.Lemonade stands everywhere.
Crackerjack bands fill the air.
And there you are
Happy landing on a chocolate bar.See the sugar bowl do the tootsie roll
With the big bad devils food cake.
If you eat too much ooh ooh
You’ll awake with a tummy ache.On the good ship lollipop
Its a night trip into bed you hop
And dream away
On the good ship lollipop.
Good ship lollipop? Interesting choice of hold music.
@ Wendy: it was followed up by a song called “Hey there fancy pants” by Ween.
