In the mail today was yet another credit card offer, numerous ads for grocery stores and the latest issue of ZooNooz. Oh, and I got a letter from the California Architects Board. You know, the folks who administer the licensing of architects in California – yea, those guys.
The letter was to inform me that I’m scheduled to appear for the California Supplemental Examination on Monday, July 21st, 2008 at the Embassy Suites in Walnut Creek (2pm). For those not familiar with the area, Walnut Creek is not that close to either the San Fransisco or Oakland airports. it’s only 30 miles but that’s pretty far when you don’t have a car. So I began looking at my options.
First off, there is a BART station across the street from the Hotel and there’s another station at the SF airport. So here’s the breakdown:
Round Trip air fare on Southwest from San Diego to San Fransisco is ………….$159.00
Round Trip BART fare from San Francisco Int’l Airport to Walnut Creek is……………….$13.80
And now, it’s time to study. Wish me luck.
