Spurred on by a recent episode of Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! where Liev Schreiber answers three questions about the 1980’s classic Red Dawn.
Of course this made me nostalgic for my favorite childhood films that are a little less famous than say, Star Wars. So I hope to update my DVD collection with Red Dawn (Collector’s Edition) and start having a Cheesy Movie Nite where we can kick back, relax and remember how it used to be to be a kid.
Other movies to consider:
-
Undercover Blues
The Last Starfighter
Flight of the Navigator
*Batteries Not Included
Cloak & Dagger
War Games
By the way, they’re coming out with The Last Starfighter 25th Anniversary Edition August 4, 2009
Red Dawn, The Last Starfighter and *Batteries Not Included are three of my all time favorite. I didn’t know they had a Collector’s Edition out for Red Dawn. I’m going to have to get that. I just have the movie. I’ll keep my eye out for The Last Starfighter too!!
From the reviews I read, the Red Dawn Collector’s Edition isn’t much better than the original release. Basically, not worth replacing.
Cool! Thanks!
