WordPress 2.5 is on the horizon and has been totally redesigned for improving the user experience. The dashboard will now have actual useful information. The tabs are better organized to be more intuitive and efficient. Overall, the work flow is improved by restructuring the backend navigation so that the most used items are easy to find and the superfluous extras are hidden or removed. Personally, I’m very excited about this new version and look forward to upgrading as soon as it’s available. I assume some plugins will be broken by the upgrade but the one’s I use are pretty responsive to changes in WordPress. Unfortunately, my hosting company is not so up-to-date. They recently updated the server sofware which imediately broke my main plugin (WPG2) which integrates my gallery into my site, You may notice the lack of images in the upper right column. I called tech support but was disconnected twice while on hold. but from what I understand, this is a widespread problem so hopefully, they will work it out. I’d hate to move my sites again.
WPG2 currently doesn’t work with WordPress 2.5. You’ll have to wait until WPG2 3.05 is available. See this thread for more details:
