Problems loading the site?

I’ve been experiencing some problems with this site the past couple of days. If you find that loading pages is very slow or does not load at all, please follow these instructions and email the results. If you don’t already have my email, then use the contact page. Your help is greatly appreciated.

If you are still experiencing trouble accessing your Web site, please provide us with the following information:
1) The tracert results for your Web site when it is slow.
In order to get tracert results make sure to follow these steps:
1. Please go to Start > Run and type ‘cmd’ in the text area and click OK
2. In the command prompt c :\> and type “tracert archshrk.com” without quotes.

2) The browser type and the full version number (for e.g.: IE: 6.0.2800.0116).
3) The operating system you are using and its version.
4) The Internet connection you have.

  1. Figures: today it loads fine. :-P

    I’ll check tomorrow when I’m at work; I had problems on Friday. Also late last week I had to collect similar info for my hosting company (siteground) because I was seeing abnormally long load times for my website. They suspected transient connectivity problems with a “data center” somewhere along the path. Things are better again and I don’t know any way I can ask wht, if anything, they found. So – ignorance = bliss I guess.

  2. First load this morning – ~8AM EDT – had a 20-30 second hesitation, but that’s not uncommon. I always figured it’s on my end because it’s not just your site. This afternoon – 1230PM my time – nice fast load, no noticeable delay. There now, isn’t that helpful? No, I know. Sorry. But I’ll be sure to run the trace if it stalls or hangs.
