Full disclosure

One of the reasons I keep at this whole blogging thing is to keep people informed. Well, I’ve done that, I just haven’t kept them informed about me/us. For instance, not many of you know that my mother has been in the hospital twice in the past month regarding a blood clot in her leg. Nor may you know that Julia’s grandmother (who’s husband recently past) has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks now with pneumonia. And even fewer of you know how we’re struggling financially. We’re meeting with our real estate agent and loan broker friends to discuss our options. While we did buy responsibly, several factors that we did not anticipate are making it tough. For example, the housing market tanked so our home is worth 80% of what we paid. Julia was layed-off a year ago (when Corbin was born) and we’ve been a single income family ever since. And of course, the economy has been spiraling downward so any raises and bonuses I expected never materialized. The only bright spot has been a fat tax refund and potentially big bonus for getting licensed.

  1. I’m so sorry to hear this. I wish you and your family the best. You are not alone. And, with the way the economy is going, you will be joined by many in the future. Good luck!!
