But Amazon isn’t the only ones seeing green when it comes to Earth Day. Walmart is in on it as well as a slew of “green” companies (think natural products and organic stuff). But I guess I too am in on this as I am preparing to become a LEED AP. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and “encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.” In other words – adds to the hype. And since my company pays out a bonus whenever someone becomes a LEED AP (Accredited Professional) I guess I’m seeing green too.
I’m wondering how much of this is ‘Green Push’ is genuine and how much is just cashing in.
Putting things in a green bottle with trees on it doesn’t do any good for the environment – see greenwash
