So, do you find my site font too small? Do you have any advice as to what makes for good font sizing? Keep in mind that I am using em sizing and not px sizing (convert). I also noticed a couple of other inconsistencies but if you see anything else, let me know.

(10-16 points) You are Garfield:
You are very comfortable, easy going, and you definitely know how to have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn’t mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to remember, your happy spirit may hurt you or others.

(17-23 points) You are Snoopy:
You are fun; you are very cool and popular. You always know what’s in and you’re never out of style, you are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days more than once but you always come home with the family values that you learned being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times

(24-28 points) You are Elmo:
You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice: try not to be too much of a dreamer. Dreaming too big could cause many conflicts in your life.

(29-35 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants:
You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never wants to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it’ s funny and calm for the most part Stay away from traitors and jealous people and you will be stress free.

(36-43 points) You are Charlie Brown:
You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few Birthdays. Don’t let your passion confuse you with reality.

(44-50 points) You are Dexter:
You are smart and definitely a thinker… Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes. Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity!

A friend of mine shared this perfect ice breaker question for use at a party where nobody knows each other (say…a movie premier)

What is the one correct way to make a peanut butter sandwich?

Seems simple enough until you start getting into the details. What kind of bread, toasted or plain, PB on one side and Jelly on the other, what kind of jelly, how much, cut diagonally, straight, not cut at all …

You have to start with the basics. Take out the bread (Potato Bread), Skippy Peanut Butter – Super Chunky, and Strawberry Preserves (aka jelly). Lightly toast the bread so it has some strength when you plaster on a thick layer of peanut butter. The toasting helps soften the peanut butter so it spreads easier too. Now when you put the peanut butter on, remember to carve out a little crater in the center of the peanut butter. You’ll need this to catch the jelly. Once you put a healthy helping of jelly on, fold it into the peanut butter so that you have even distribution. You’ll need to fold it so that the peanut butter and jelly bond together to keep the jelly from squeezing out. Now that you’ve properly folded the PB&J together form a little mound in the center. This way, when you place the second slice of bread on top and squish it together, the mound flattens out to the edges without spilling out. Pour yourself a glass of milk and enjoy.

So I ask you, my loyal readers, what is the one correct way to make a peanut butter sandwich?

You see, she was talking about how we write (or blog) with a certain goal in mind. Typically it’s with the goal of getting an audience. How we define that audience really affects how we write. She mentions people who use keywords (or topics) to get “discovered” on social bookmarking sites. I know I’ve written a post or two with SEO in mind but I also realize that I can’t write the end all post about a subject I don’t know about.

This is definitely a subject I think on often. Like most bloggers, I wrestle with writing what I want and what I think my audience wants. I notice certain posts attract a lot of visitors but few comments while others get lots of comments – good ones too. For me, my best posts are the ones I didn’t spend too much time editing. Rather, I simply wrote what I thought, as I thought it. It’s not often pretty but it seems to connect with people in a way that only blogging can.

I guess that’s the point. You should write what you know, but more importantly, write how you talk. Confusing, i know. But hear me out. People listen to you because you tell an interesting story. Whether its what happened last weekend or giving driving directions, you have a style – don’t fight it. But maybe no one listens to you, that’s why you blog. You still have a style, it’s just not any good (haha, I kid). You probably think a better ways you could have said something but long after you said it. Write that.

Rory, at Clean Cut Blog, has a Group Writing Project going on until August 3. He suggests “Write your own blog post presenting your first rule of writing. Not a top three, or five – what would you say is the most important rule according to you, and why? What would come before anything else?” You can go to his site to read more.

The basic problem for many people is that people who are saved can “fall away” and stop behaving as a Christian should. Another misconception is that people think this phrase means that once you are saved, you are free to do what you want. This is simply not true. But (and this is hard to accept) your salvation does not depend on what you do but on what God has done. Your good work is an outpouring of your love for God but we are still sinners (even after being “saved”) so we will continue to sin. But because God has changed our hearts toward Him, we are convicted of our sin and compelled to repent. Sometimes we sin hard and the repentance comes slowly (or not at all) But again, it’s not us who does the saving, it’s Jesus through His perfect sacrifice. Here’s a little excerpt from an article on Salvation at Kaleo Church

Can Jesus lose a Christian?

Some people wonder if a Christian can lose their salvation. The Bible, however, states that salvation does not belong to Christians but instead belongs to God (Jonah 2:9). Therefore, the question is not whether or not a Christian can lose their salvation, but rather whether Jesus can lose a Christian.

According to Scripture, Jesus does not lose any people that God has given Him (John 6:39; 10:28; 17:12). The doctrine of the “Perseverance of the Saints” (sometimes known as “Once saved always saved”) is very misunderstood, and intricately tied into the doctrine of election. If we are choosing God, then it is certain that we can choose out too.

The traditional Arminian position on the matter is that a believer can “lose his/her salvation.” This is consistent with that understanding of salvation. However, if God chooses us before the foundation of the world (See question above re: when salvation was determined), then how is that we can lose it? Jesus does not lose those His Father gave Him, period! So what do we do with verses like Hebrews 6:4-6, or 10:29, which seem to indicate that you can lose your salvation? They must be interpreted in light of the nature of salvation, and the nature of God’s role in salvation. It is quite possible that these Hebrew verses reflect individuals that were with us, “But were not really of us” (See 1 John 2:19). Paul is clear that nothing can separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:35-39) and that even we are unfaithful to God we are secure because He remains faithful to us (2 Timothy 2:13).

Note: It is imperative to realize that this assurance doesn’t depend on you making a choice towards God in some sort of ritual (i.e. prayer, baptism, communion, etc.), but is secured by the work that God, through His Son Jesus, did on the cross. Assurance comes from knowing that God is at work in you (Philippians 1:6 and 1 John). Too often we have assured people they are saved because they grew up in the church, or once said a prayer, but this is simply unbiblical. Assurance comes from trusting in Christ, and realizing that God is growing His love in our lives. It is His Sprit bearing witness with our spirit that we are His.

PC – Many reasons, mostly that MACs didn’t have the software I needed. MACs can do most of what I want now but I like to “tinker” on my machines and you can’t do that with MACs. I was into gaming so that did and still does play a big role but also, mere cost is and was an issue. But I will admit that with my wife’s increasing interest in digital photography, our next computer will probably be a MAC. My friend uses both and finds the relationship very good.Similar Posts:

What shocked me most in preparing for this study is the lack of scholarly work and in-depth discussion on the topic of Heaven.
