I’ve had some time to pray about this ministry and plan to do a lot more. I realized I wasn’t putting my faith in Christ like I should. I was trying to handle it all on my own. One change lately is that we are now funded by Kaleo. Originally, I wanted to support this ministry solely on gifts and support directly from the members of the church but we are still too small to maintain a steady flow of resources from the congregation exclusively. Instead, we will rely on money and supplies collected at church and distributed to our ministry. This will give us the added convince of always having what we need without the stress of wondering how we are to get it. I can’t tell you how many times I called PK to run over to Costco for some supplies we needed that night.I need to setup a collection box for the donated supplies and funds that people contribute on Sundays (or whenever we meet) A large sturdy box and a lockable piggy bank is all I need but finding the time can be tough. I’ll probably go piggy bank hunting this weekend but the box can probably come from anywhere. What I really need to do is generate a nice little write up of what we do and what we need. Hopefully, this BLOG of mine will be a great place for people to come and read about what we’ve experienced and what we’ve accomplished. I guess that means I’ll have to get better at story-telling then won’t I? BTW, thanks for putting up with my ramblings thus far. How do you like the new page format? This is better than the first page I used but I think I can find a better format still. This one is nice enough for now, but it lacks the personal touch that screams “Burrito and Sock Ministry”. I’m still learning the ins and outs of this blog stuff but I think it will be fun once i get into the routine of updating with new posts. Hopefully, I can get the other guys (and gals) to do some posting as well.
