Taking care of business
Today was my chore day. basically, while Julia is away this weekend, I get to take care of some home improvements that we’ve been meaning to finish. I’m glad to report, I’m nearly done. Sooner than I expected thanks to getting an early start.
My list for this weekend consisted of the following:
Paint kitchen cabinet doors – needs sanding and paint
Paint Walls – still has primer on walls (optional)
(I put primer on the walls when the kitchen floor was installed)
Hang shelf – hang shelf above baby’s dresser
Vent cover- prime, paint and put back in ceiling
(I never finished it from when I painted the ceilings a month back)
Paint Master Bath Cabinets – sand, prime and paint
Hang Art – add 2 pieces of art above towel bar in guest bath.
Get rid of shower doors
(I removed the shower doors from guest bath but never disposed of them)
I am happy to report that I only need to paint the kitchen cabinet doors and I’ll be done. Thank you. But to really appreciate how good this feels you have to understand how much I hate painting. I wish to murder it in my heart. That’s what I mean when I say hate to paint.
The good news is how much better everything looks in bright white instead of off white primer or even worse – the original wood veneer – yuck!
I’ll have a very important post later today or tomorrow that I want you all to consider acting upon. I won’t get into it here but once the target site is functional again, you’ll be able to read all about it then.

Wow that is an amazing amount to get done in a weekend. I am sure I take to many breaks. That and I start cooking and cleaning in between doing those projects. Way to go, nothing better than completed a dreaded task.
Sounds like you did a lot today. I better not send my wife to this post…it is making me look pretty lazy today.
@ Sirdar: Too late. She’s already commented.
And, I’m sorry to say, you already look lazy.
