Bezalel is the name of Kaleo Church’s original worship band. By God’s grace the church has grown to inlcude several bands with diverse styles. Bezalel was the artisan chosen to lead the artists who built the tabernacle under Moses’ leadership. Bezalel means “under the shadow of God”. Led by Chief Musician, Brian Thomas, the band has moved from a humble few musicians to a rotating cast of some of the best musicians in San Diego. Mixing eclectic influences from Bach to the Beatles, Dylan to Death Cab, and a little Rolling Stones and Radiohead thrown in for good measure, Bezalel creates beautiful ambient indie-folk-pop songs filled with tension and truth with the purpose of glorifying their creator.

On their debut album, Fidelity on High, Bezalel draw from their eclectic influences to create a textured amalgam of songs ranging from their haunting take on the classic hymn “Amazing Grace” to the upbeat indie-folk pop found on the Psalm 51 inspired “Create in Me” to the Radiohead influenced “Measure of My Days”.
